Erik, there may be no rhyme or reason for it other than sometimes a seller has actually gone to the casinos to obtain usually $1 and $5 chips, Adding time and transportation costs it would seem like a $3 price for a $1 chip can be substantiated. In the case of Limited Edition chips like from the Palms, etc selling for $8 for a $5 chip, I certainly pay the price as otherwise I would never get the chip. The chip is received within days of it being issued.

Maybe some of the sellers can better answer your question. I have resolved myself to those costs if I want the chip. Then again there are the 2 chip sets selling for $12 or $13 and thats strictly a matter of if you want those chips you pay the price.
