Westen -- over the past couple of years

we have lost about 500 members, from approximately 2500 to the current number of approximately 2000. Out of that 2000, we have 226 LM's, 250 or so asociate members and about 1500 "regular" members. I don't know whether we've ever done an "exit interview" or asked why. You have to remember that this is a club made up of volunteers that have a love for a perticular hobby. We all have lives & jobs & stuff...and it's a hobby. People get tired of it or just plain lose interest. Years ago, casinos were putting out LE chips on a regular basis & we got a lot of new interest. But it slowed down & people just left.

Last year, we had a campaign that sent "Come Back" cards to about 500 past members and we got back 175...not fantastic, but I thought it was a success. That means that 325 really had no interest to carry on in the club, maybe even the hobby. We have a Membership Recruitment committee, but nothing's really been done on that front to recruit new members. Word of mouth, eBay sellers...that's how we seem to be found, plus on BB's such as this.

We are looking at things right now to help increase value to club membership as well as ways to get the ccgtcc name more "out there". We will always entertain suggestions & I present those that are offered to me to the club's BoD. Thanks for your concern & question(s). I hope that I shed some light on it.
