"I almost never insure when I mail chips."

Either do I. I'm insured through Collectibles Insurance Company like Travis. They pay for any lost packages up to $400 without taking out any insurance though the post office. Any packages valued at over $400 require that $50 insurance be taken out. In the 5 years or so that I have been with them, I have had 4 packages lost. All under $400, two for $80, one $90 & another $250. After the required 30 day waiting period from mailing the package, I just needed to forward an E-Mail to them from the person who the lost package was mailed to. With their name & address & stating that the package did not arrive. I then recieved a check from the insurance company within two weeks.

I have no doubt that they would pay on a larger claim. Hopefully I never have to find out.

Also, I have $20,000 worth of pool cues insured through them, which were added to my personal policy. I also have a dealer's policy.
