John,

I have ended a couple auctions early myself, what I have done is require the buyer to send a PayPal payment FIRST, and then I would end the auction on their behalf. On the other hand, as I said previously, I have asked the seller to use a buy it now, that protected me.

I would think "early bidding" is a good idea ...
