I've been at roulette tables where the pit boss was mucking for the dealer .... and roulette chips still mysteriously disappeared. Does the pit boss write himself/herself up? grin

In the scenario you painted where the player brings back roulette chips he/she bought in for at .50 cents or $1 and demands $5 for them ... lots of luck! You'll get the table minimum ... unless the camera in the sky says differently.
