How long has it been since you were a new member? Sometimes you older members don't realize how you phrase things is not taken maybe as you intend them. Telling someone he'd get more replies if he jumped this hurdle or that hurdle ... how on earth is that helpful? Those kinds of things should be done directly to the person by email if you are trying to be helpful - not calling them out on the board. How hard is it to click the email link and send the reply directly to the person? Tell me that's not a better way to try to be helpful. Saying, gee its a controversial chip but maybe we'd answer your question if you did x, y and z comes off very arrogant. Maybe that's not the intention, but that's how it comes off to this new member. Right or wrong, perception is everything.

As to apologizing to Gene, that's laughable. I wrote one post asking him to self-censor his childish spam posting and he continues to show up in threads I comment in to accuse me of name calling and being a censor. I guess he gets a chuckle out of this boorish behavior. From what I've seen so far, Gene doesn't get it. He never will. I won't apologize to him. His behavior is the antithesis of friendly and civil. He doesn't get it. I am not afraid to confront him on this. Bullies and children need to know their place. I tolerate neither. You can stand up and defend your friend, but if you were objective, you'd see how a new person would see this behavior. Justifying, as perhaps one would, that he has been around so long and that's just Gene is no excuse.

Btw, I didn't specifically answer his question because I had no idea, but in sales, trust of the seller is as important sometimes than most other factors. Knowing your seller has a good reputation is a good indicator you are not going to get ripped off. My comment as to the apparent character of the seller was at least relevant if not directly on point.

I do expect though to see Gene try to get in the last word with more negative comments about me being a censor. I will let him get in the last word because I have a life off this board and don't read every post like he does. Go ahead Gene, have at it.
