This is 100% true as many of the regular posters will not answer someone who does not post a full name or membership number.
Gene also told him that this is a very contravercal chip. This is the kind of information that the poster was looking for.
Not to get picky, but I think Gene did nothing wrong at all and you are the one that accused him of trying to make someone look stupid. If anyone is owed an apology, I honestly believe it is you that owe one to Gene.
Gene was the only person to answer a post with 200+ hits by discussing the chip in question. That even includes yourself who offered a thought as to the seller, but no information about the chip as Peter originally asked. In my humble opinion, Gene did nothing wrong except try and help Peter.
