I guess you don’t get it. I wasn’t saying or worrying about HLM-001 taking advantage of me. To the contrary, I was worried that because of his ridiculous statement, some club member or future club members would get taken advantage of. My entire grievance was made from my perspective to protect the club and ALL the members not harm HLM-001.

Let’s be candid here. We know that each of us have people in this organization that we don’t care for, get along with or whatever for one reason or another.

I have my two. HLM-001 is one of the two. However, I do not mean or wish him any harm, ill will, or anything that would disrupt his existence in any manner whatsoever. I genuinely don’t give a hoot about him. I just firmly believe at times this man makes posts that are harmful and negative to the well being of the club and the chipboard.

How about his recently posted joke, “NAPPY HEADED HO”? Was that really necessary or in good taste? And I called him on it! I’m sure there are a few out there whom are not fans of minority groups and thought it was funny. One email stated and claimed it was nothing more than a joke and not racially motivated. I also received several emails from people that said I was right for challenging him on the post and he was way out of line.

What bothers me, is those people that agreed with me (just as there were a number that agreed with me on his “disclosure statement”), don’t have the balls or nerve to post their agreement. They just sit back and say oh well. Personally, I’m unwilling to let statements that can hurt people nor can harm people go unchallenged when I see them.

I’ll be the first to say HLM-001 has done a tremendous amount of good for the hobby. Yet that doesn’t give him “carte blanche” to make statements that are detrimental, and it doesn’t give him the right to say whatever he pleases no matter what the consequences.

I went out on a limb to do what I believed was right. If you, Aaron, the BOD and others think what HLM-001 said is fine, so be it. I accept that.

Believe me; I know my lack of club membership means nothing to anyone. I can tell you it hasn’t stopped anyone from dealing with me nor trusting me. It won’t stop me from attending shows if I feel like it, it won’t stop me from attending the convention, but it will stop me from supporting something I no longer believe in. And that is the CC & GTCC
