NCR - Movie Paper

Sitting around waiting for the Seahawks game, drinking a neighborhood brew and scanning some of my latest movie photo cards. I collect these movie things if it relates to gaming, helps me visualise what was happening in the room when the chips in my collection were on the table. These two 8X10's intend to portray Las Vegas in the 40's... somewhat different than what Aaron's top 10 list reflects today don't you think? grin

http://www.imdb.com gives the following plot summary for "Lady Luck": Mary now runs a bookstore in L.A. with her grandfather, whose past gambling excesses have left her hating everything about the pastime. Unfortunately she falls for Larry, who makes his living in this very line of work. He vows to change but going to Las Vegas to get married may not be the best choice for them. Indeed, Mary's forefathers all had gambling in their blood and if she does ever get to try the tables anything could happen.

Sounds like a fun movie. Of course most of us recognise Robert Young as Larry but it's interesting that the young lady is Della Street, Babara Hale. The moon face off to the left is Frank Morgan and I don't have any idea who the old gent is, I'm picking him from the cast list as "Sacramento Sam" for no particular reason.

I've also acquired a digital camera I'm trying to figure out. I thought I'd show what I do with some of these movie items as far as display. I'm not a serious collector but I like to have lobby cards and 8X10's that have a gaming theme. Follow along if you wish. vbg
