Re: repair resins

Does anyone following this thread know... original chip resins contain a significant amount of lead. Do the repair resins contain lead also? Or are they just color matched resins? I don't see any reason to use a lead filled repair resin except to fool somebody.

I'm also wondering if these repairs would be visible under UV light? This is the common way to check for this sort of repair on many kinds of antiques. The lights aren't expensive.

I don't think I need to worry about this with the kind of chips I collect, but really am curious.
