AT MGM-MIRAGE and Harrah's properties this is prohibited.

at MGM-Mirage, I was told that I would be fired if I gave money to the supervisor (it was suggested that a Holiday gift would not be a problem). While I was at TI I never saw this rule violated, but who knows what goes on out of sight.

And while it is against policy at Harrah's owned properties for the floor to accept money from dealers I have seen this rule pretty openly violated.
