Michael,
Yes, I suppose it's possible that the Double OO moved (or another club opened with the same name).

I've been persuaded to take my "virtual walk up Fremont Street" chipboard threads and turn them into an article for the CCTN. On the chipboard, if I wasn't sure of something, I kinda' just skipped over it...knowing that a post on the chipboard has a practical life of 12-24 hours ( vbg I think it was you that I just mis-quoted with that statement! vbg ).

Anyway, for the article I'm trying to do a lot of checking and double checking. I couldn't find out anything about the Double OO Club on Fremont St. There's a few other clubs, too, that I can't find any reference to other than TGT. Anyway, the Las Vegas Advisor had a question on Block 16, yesterday I think. They mentioned the Double OO Club, and showed this same postcard. so I just assumed it was a typo in TGT. Maybe it wasn't.

Speaking of typos...
Monte Carlo Club
15 E. Fremont
TGT says 1945-1955
Fuller says 1945-1966 (lists 3 different ownerships)

Monte Carlo Club is still listed in the 1956 phone book, It's not in the 1966 phone book (we don't have any between those two). I looked through some of the tourist mags from the late "50's & early "60's, but couldn't find any ads or mention of the Monte Carlo. Thoughts??

grin This stuff is fun, but...sometimes aggravating!
