Why didn't you use the Cadman Plaza branch? 8th AVE is notorious for having rude help (especially in April before midnight on tax day)...
And if you have problems at the Brooklyn POs, write to the customer service dept. at Forbell ST, 11256. They'll write you a nice apology, but that's about it.
