depends on what coverage you want. I use national coverage, and it's important to me to have as much coverage as possible. Take a look at the different plans. All of the sevices have different p[romotions month to month. Decide how much time you want, if you want more then one phone and if you want no roaming or long distance charges. If you only need local coverage with unlimited useage, thats another option.

One more consideration is the other people that you talk to all the time. Many of the plans have situations where you talk to others on the same service for free. Again, all of the services change frequently.

There was a study put out a onth or twon ago, that rated the different plans. I didn't actually see the study myself, but my son told me all about it. Evidently, since the merger, Cingular is now rated tops for coverage and service with Verizon as second place.

Unless someone here has done the leg work very recently, you're going to have to put the time in and look at each of the services one by one.
