Yes Chuck, I agree that such an argument can be made ... and has been debated in the past ... usually by chip collectors from outside the A.C. collecting area.

But I personally don't think that the average A.C. collector broadly accepts the position taken that regular issue A.C. chips which have long been removed from play are not obsolete. I certainly don't hold that position. It's a gray area position that varies from gaming juristiction to gaming juristiction and from collector to collector. Nevada's redemption rules just do not apply to A.C. in this case.

Just one man's opinion.
