Personally, I don't think $1.85 shipping/handling is outrageous or expensive for getting me a single chip. (Bad Joke Alert) I just flew in from Vegas, and boy are my arms tired, ba-doom ching! (Ducks eggs) But while out there this past week with the lovely and talented Mrs. Delia, I picked up a bunch of L.V. chips all at once. That's something that would NOT be cost-effective if I wanted to acquire casino chips from Mississippi, Oregon, Washington, Indiana, etc. I'd much rather pay $1.85 or up to $2.50 s/h per individual chip instead of flying out there to get them in person.

But the variable s/h costs per additional chip are only affected by the extra weight per chip, which for 1st class postage is 23 cents per additional ounce. There's no extra "handling" and no extra costs for padded envelopes if they're all mailed in the same envelope. That's where the "no discount for multiple shipping" takes an unfair turn.
