I have bought and sold on eBay and you are right it is a pain not to be able to pay instantly right from your desk. Most sellers hate to wait for a check to clear worse than you, they want to see payments hit as soon as the auction ends so they can wrap up their business and mail everything out and be finished. Not wait 3 more weeks. It is a pain to have to wait, on the snail mail, and then wait on it to clear, etc. Most sellers have been stiffed so they have to wait or take the chance. Sellers should offer multiple ways to pay and accomodate the ones who want to drag out the payment process. So when I am browsing, I actually LOOK for auctions with Paypal or some way to pay instantly. It is convenient for both of us.

As far as $2.25 shipping- I walk away. Either you are running an auction or you’re in the shipping business.

This is a good place to mention ... I just bought a hard drive on eBay and paid $7 s/h. It arrived today the seller sent it PRIORITY with $9.10 worth of postage.
