This case will go only so far as Downs wants it to go--and that includes false imprisonment. A mall is not a private residence but they do have some power to restrict activities within it and may be able to legally forbid public protests--which was not the case. I know the "villain" as I was a judicial hearing officer for several years. Someone should go to jail and that might be the so-called "security" officers.
