I don't bid blind on reserve ...

... auctions, Jay. Haven't done eBay much lately, but when I was bidding more, if there was a reserve auction that I was interested in, I would email the seller asking what the reserve was. I told each that if the reserve was within my bidding range, I would bid the reserve immediately, otherwise would not bid.

I would say three out of four sellers were willing to tell me the reserve. Those who would not, I did not bid on their auctions.

BTW, I also agree with Pete Sanders -- I don't see the reserve as being sneaky or dishonest. I just didn't want to waste my time bidding in the blind.
