For consideration... listed in the guides as C&J but some significant differences. Worn chip is thinner than AU chip but can't be 100 percent caused by use. Different molds of course and hats of either wouldn't be admissible in court as "shiny" but not dull either. One sloppy insert on AU but nice and uniform on worn chip. Guess there could have been a re-order out in Ely, it was hoppin' when the mines were going in the '60 & '70's (before all those "fires"). Like Alan said...some of the answers are tricky!
