I can see an exception

I don't think Gene had the chips made with the intention of defrauding anyone - and that makes a difference. I'm glad someone, with the preservation of history in mind, had the chips made and documented them well.

I thought it was hypocritical for the leading members of "The List" to have the slabbed samples in their possession (not including yours Jim with the shot thrown through it grin.) I have been told these were kept for educational purposes only. I can understand that modivation.

I think there is a major difference between "owning" and "distributing" the fakes. Though I don't agree with everything Gene says, I think what he did concerning the brass core matter is commendable.
