Jim; My question posed to you and Larry only required a yes or no answer. As I've indicated before ... "one size fits all" does not apply when speaking of A.C. chips.
Brighton chips can still be redeemed for face value at Sands. Golden Nugget and Bally's Grand chips can still be redeemed at Hilton. Harrah's at Trump Plaza chips can still be redeemed at Trump Plaza. Del Webb's Hi-Ho chips can still be redeemed at Claridge. Boardwalk Regency chips can still be redeemed at Caesars. I am not aware of ANY notice placed in ANY newspaper stating that after such and such a date ANY A.C. chip will not be redeemed for it's full face value.
According to some folks guidelines in past well-worn threads ... a chip that can be redeemed for its full face value is not obsolete. I say all the above are obsolete chips ... and I like Charlie Kaplan's definition best. To each his own.
When in Vegas do as the Las Vegans do... when in Atlantic City ... it's a complete different ballgame.
