I'd be absolutely willing to pursue a charge of mail fraud---but no mail was involved to this point. Is email sufficient to qualify as mail fraud? Is the use of Paypal similar to wire fraud?
The person who won the auction back in June probably paid by credit card herself, so it's unlikely she would even have an address at this point. Why should she retain it if she received the item? My assumption is that this nasty person is an opportunist who saw an opportunity to keep my money without fear of negative feedback or pursuit by ebay. I was dumb enough to allow too much time to pass before checking with paypal. I'm trying to figure out if a threatening letter would be useful---enough to justify annoying other ebayers/chippers.
