TO ALL CONCERNED:

Please accept my personal apology for the cancellation of the Tournament. This is a very difficult situation for everyone. The Flamingo had no option but to stop the Tournament. I am sorry that I am not at liberty to discuss their reasons, but I assure you they had no choice. The Flamingo would never carelessly disrupt so many potential guests, you are our livelihood. The Flamingo was pleased to have everyone's participation in last year's tournament and were looking forward to having you back at our Property. You and people like you are what make us a leader in the industry. The Flamingo was looking forward to having another successful Tournament and winning over new players for the Hotel. This Tournament generated a great deal of excitement among the Flamingo executives because it was innovative and new and the Hotel was pleased to have the Strikers as guests. If the Flamingo had been informed earlier of this of this particular circumstance, they would have been able to give more notice. This decision was not made lightly and presents a number of problems for everyone involved. If there had been any other option, please believe that it would have been pursued. Jim Ward, myself and the Flamingo, are so sorry for the inconvenience this will cause to everyone.
