Great post, Larry, which ...

... simply reinforces the insanity of the whole process. By the reasoning you described, the following example would be true:

100 Proof coins are produced, all of which grade out at PF-70.

100 mint coins are produced, all but one of which grade out at MS-66 or below. One grades at MS-67.

The one MS-67 is worth more than the PF-70's, despite being an inferior coin in both appearance and grade, because it is one of a kind and there are lots of PF-70's.

Nothing personal, but that's just dumb with a capital D.

Not in my hobby. Not without a fight.
