When I think back on the great slabbing debate, my understanding is that the two great objections of the anti-slabbing position were 1)having chips slabbed by an anonymous corporation and 2) the "grading" of chips should be limited to about six categories. Here's my question: What if someone like Doug (knowledgeable and honest as they come) were to authenticate and slab chips? What if he adhered to the Club's grading rules? I'm not promoting the idea. I'm just curious whether this is acceptable behaviour to most anti-slabbers or perhaps there are additional objections. I'm only accepting polite responses.
