It wasn't an attempt to impress you (nor was it a rock artist, or a band, but that's beside the point). What i was attempting to do was point out that you, like many others, had accepted a false statement about the connection between Marilyn Manson and Columbine. The quote was simply an attempt to illustrate that it's very common in America for people to scapegoat musicians rather than addreess the real issues. I think I'm a pretty good writer, but in that particular instance, I couldn't say it any better than the artist i chose to quote.
