..and I explained why the situation wouldn't make any sense!

Correct or not, presenting a scenario that is so unlikely to happen, after these items are already in circulation amongst the collecting community, could be viewed clutching at straws.

People hand make models of automobiles for their own personal use. They don't try to sell them as being made by the original manufacturer, no matter how many they make.

Personal use doesn't fit into this discussion because the items involved wouldn't be offered to the collecting community if they were only made for personal use.
