The item you describe is not a computer, It is a doorstop.
Pouring money into it makes as much sense as playing the slots.
Get a DELL......
You don't have to go for top of the line either. I personally wouldn't because you pay a big premium to do so and in 2 weeks there is something better and faster anyway.
For $1000 you should be able to get a nice middle of the road machine with most of the features you need.
