When they want to form a circle as with your O & C and VRM, it is difficult to know whether it is a "D" or an "O", a "J" or a "V". The Mason, Taylor, Jones Bros. and other file cards usually give the hot stamp font along with the typed monogram, so it is easy to tell. I try to remember the unusual ones like the G's, J's & I's. It would be a good idea for someone to do.
