Private sales, yes. That can be arranged in advance but an auction?? That has to be seller initiated. As a past president of the club, would you have allowed the live club auction to be private with just bidder numbers not associated with membership number to be used and then only the winning bids be published? If your talking security, this then would be the most UN-secure auction around! We can put this to rest now but I still do not like the secrecy involving these private auctions.
