A coworker of mine bid around $70,000 for a piece of Grateful Dead memorobilia on eBay. He was contacted by an out of town newspaper (Sacrmento Bee) to do an interview on his collection, as well as that particular purchase. All of the sudden, his private collection was not so private. I personally have no problem with a private auction.
