When I first joined the club, I was stationed overseas in the military, so I could not afford to travel to places other then were the military sent me.

I have written articles for the club magazine.
I volunteered to serve as VP when Janice resigned.
I volunteered to serve as club librarian.
I have emailed the board offering to assist with coming up with a grading system other then that proposed by the slabbing companies that members (dealers and collectors) could use.
I have emailed the board offering to serve on a board of members who would offer their opion as to if an item in question was what was being offered (i.e. - was a "real" item, had not been altered, cleaned, etc) for a fee not to exceed the cost of return postage and insurance so that those members who are opposed to slabbing have another source when something is in question.
I have purchased club sponsered items such as woods, etc. so that the club would have additional funds to spend on spreading the message of our club.

Not everyone can nor should have to contribue of their time or services over and above their yearly dues unless they wish to. Those that do, we should thank them.

While I support the outcome of the vote of the board of directors, I do not agree with the method that the vote was conducted. To those people who either do not agree with the outcome of the vote, or the way that the vote was conducted can either do something about it, or live with it until the next election.

If you can not afford $100, how about $50? How about $10?

I just wanted to set the bar high enough that those who are serious about what they claim to be an injustice would take hopefully some constructive action.
