I believe you are right in that this person is the same person but, as I posted before the IP numbers are not a good indication. I posted results from a search that I ran for UPBOB that indicated that he had the same identical IP numbers as one other person on the board. I figured that that connection may have been coincidental when I did the same search on THE DONALD. I found that he had no complete matches with anyone but partial numbers in his IP matched about 8 or 10 different contributers to this board. It was later learned that the numbers he is using are consistant with AOL servers. There are many of us here that are on AOL and may be using some of the same number patterns as this "Fool". I even did a search on my IP numbers and found about 4 or 5 other people here who often get similar but not identical numbers. Could it be geographical, I thought. Then I found that my numbers were the same as people in Texas, Florida and I believe Washington. It appears as though these numbers can not be definitively linked to one person or one area of the country.

The problem starts in that the IP numbers change every time you sign off then on again. It appears that it is possible that you could get the same number again and that others may get a number that you had before. Incidentally, when I did find the exact match, UPBOB and the known chipper were not on during the same time period. The posts were 12 to 24 hrs apart from each other. That would have ruled out someone posting under their real name then changing their name for other posts.
