Since there seems to be a majority consensus
here on Greg's BB that " slabbing chips "
is not acceptable by most individual chip collectors , is it possible to do the
following actions ? ? ?
First - I am sure that Nate and the other
board members are well aware of the majority
view held by most chippers on Greg's BB -
we are against slabbing of chips in any way ,
shape , or form .
Second - I would suggest to the board that
they should immediately rescind their misguided
decision in regards to " slabbing of chips "
and allowing dealers to sell them at any club
sponsored function .
Third - LET THE FULL CLUB MEMBERSHIP VOTE ON
THE SLABBING OF CHIPS & DEALERS WHO ONLY WANT
TO PROFIT FROM THEIR SALE . It would be an easy
enough vote to take . Just send a " VOTE PROXY
STATEMENT " along with the " CLUB'S QUARTERLY MAGAZINE " along with a RETURN ENVELOPE - and then the ENTIRE CLUB MEMBERSHIP would have an
equal chance to "voice their opinion" by their
vote on this highly controversial issue . Then
whatever the final vote turns out to be , the
BOARD MEMBERS could embrace that view knowing
that at least ALL MEMBERS did have an opportunity
to cast their vote on the slabbing of chips and
the dealers who profit from their sale .

Just some thought provoking ideas on how to
possibly change things from inside the club
without having to " point fingers " , assign
blame to certain individuals , or get into
any form of name calling - either directly
or even in a subtle manner .
