That is unfortunate because if all the anti-slab folks here take the actions that many are talking about, the next convention or chip shows will be All-Slab. While I am opposed to the slabbing of chips and feel that slabbing serves no purpose other than money and greed I believe that slabbing can not be eliminated. As long as there are companies that slab coins and have holders for 39mm and the other common sizes for chips and tokens there will always be someone out there that will slab a chip if asked. The reality is, there will always be collectors who for their misguided reasons will slab their chips and companies who will gladly accomodate them for a fee. The only solutions are to continue the fight to educate and inform collectors that there is no need and advantage to have chips graded and slabbed. The effort to put booths and tables at shows to promote the Anti-Slab cause and sell unslabbed chips and products that will equally protect and store your chips is the most positive way to fight this battle. If you take these booths away from the shows, the only messages that will be promoted is how grading and encapsulation will be the best appearant way to protect, preserve and enhance the value of your chips. Please do not turn your back on the situation and boycott. If you feel that strongly do not patronize the dealers that engage in this practice. If the presence at these conventions and shows continues to be dominated with an anti-slab attitude and a presence of unslabbed chips and anti-slab related products than chippers will see their alternatives and the slabbers will eventually have to face the reality that there is no value in promoting their product.

As I said though, it is reality that it won't stop them from slabbing chips when asked. If your purpose is to totally eliminate slabbing, I am afraid that is unrealistic and you will loose. Keep involved and keep up the fight. As I quoted in another message earlier,
