My company's GIS (Global Information Service), the "Computer Guys" told me to update DAT files about every 60~90 days, they have since told me MINIMUM now every 30 days. They are seeing a marked increase of new stuff hitting the net. They also say scan MINIMUM once a week, and suggest more frequently. Suggested using TaskManager and scheduling nightly. Funny thing is ... when I got my first virus alert, it was from a document (with a macro) from THEIR network! Hmmm, and THEY are telling ME how to protect myself?
