Perhaps there is an attempt to read something into my previous posts that wasn't there.
It certainly isn't a case of sour grapes nor is it a case of favoritism.
There were a few people that had intentions of going to the convention and as a result of whatever personal mishap were unable to do so. Was it favoritism or pity that certain people were kind enough to help these people obtain chips? I don't think so. I think it was club spirit in trying to help a fellow chipper.
As I stated in my earlier post there were may of us that had intentions to go but couldn't. In my case as a result of my business which is pretty much seasonal, I was chained to my desk. Does that make me or anyone else less deserving?

When I first heard of the Chip, I e-mailed several people and asked if one could pick one up for me. At the time I didn't realize the distribution policy that was going to make it virrtually impossible to get one.
As a relatively new HR collector and club member both, It would have been a nice addition to my collection. I certainly won't die not having one.

Now that the convention is over and that these chips have not been redeemed, after a reasonable redemption period it would make sense to make these available to ALL club members. After all they were created for the CCGTCC why deprive the rest of the membership a chance to own one just because we weren't there.
It would be a nice gesture on the part of HR if they turned the chips over to the club where they could be either distributed by lottery, sold at a premium or auctioned off to generate club funds.
