Re: A Suggestion! grin
In Response To: Re: A Suggestion! grin ()

I doubt the chips will sit indefinitely in the cage (actually they were in the gifts shop) but I think it's up to the Hard Rock what they want to do with them. Don't forget part of the deal on the chip was folks had to make the trip over to the Hard Rock to pick up the chip. It could have just been put in the goodie bag but I'm sure part of the idea was that they wanted to encourage us to visit their casino and perhaps patronize their games, restaurants, etc. while we were there. What I was responding to was Robert Tout's complaint: "Regarding these chips we were totally overlooked without nary a mention," referring to those that were unable to or did not choose to attend the convention (or pre-register.) My feeling is the "goodies" provided those who pre-registered were designed to reward those who were able to help the club by sending in their money in advance. I'd compare it to the nicer membership cards the life members get in our club. I think it's great even though I'm not a life member (although I may very well become one eventually) and certainly wouldn't complain that regular members were overlooked in being given a nicer membership card.
