The mileage is is 99 miles. The trip takes you past the Reserve, Railroad Pass, Searchlight Nugget (the speed trap, ONLY GO THE POSTED SPEED), CalNevAri (always good for an ashtray, but their table is never open) and then into Laughlin. Most places there have vacancies at $17.00 a night. Avi is twenty miles further South, so trip back from Avi will be around 120 miles.

Five casinos issued River Run chips (biker event two weekends ago). They are the Belle, Edgewater, Ramada, Pioneer, and Golden Nugget. The Pioneer put out a set of four chips, for a total of eight different chips.

If anyone is going there, I could use one set of the Pioneer chips (all four of them). Also, the Ramada chip is hardest to get because you have to go around to the tables to spot them. None are at the cage.

By way of an attraction, and since it is close to Memorial Day, be sure to visit Ramada during day time hours. They have a show (projector and sound) that salutes US military, especially WWII and they have a modest museum.
