Check out the inserts

Here's the answer.

Chip #1 is a Christy and Jones (long cane & shiny hats)
Chip #2 is a Burt Company H&C (long cane & NO shiny hats)
Chip #3 is a Paulson H&C (short cane & NO shiny hats)

If the chip has insert (as this one does). Christy's are easy to spot. Note the shape of the inserts.

- Christys have "neater" inserts
- The inside curve of the inserts are concave (going away from the inlay)
- Burt Company & Paulson (Christy imposters and wannabees) inserts are convex (bulges towards the middle of the chip).
