I think that when I pay for the chip, even if the regs don't say so, I think there is a fair arguement that by my paying for the chip I purchase the right to possess the chip even if not outright title.

I took a look at the NV larceny statute and quite honestly it is useless because of the undefined terms in it. I don't have access to the case law.

In any event, I think a conviction would be hard to come by and any prosecutor who bothered to prosecute should be fired for wasting taxpayer dollars.
