Re: Then I have a question...
In Response To: Then I have a question... ()

Amy, I posed a similar question to Archie a while back and was given the answer that it wouldn't be good for so few people to make club policy for the "masses". I can see the wisdom in that, and can also see the impropriety that may result from "stuffing the ballot bax" SO TO SPEAK by only interested parties showing up for the Annual Convention. I don't see why some type of mechanism couldn't be instituted that would allow Association issues to be brought up to the membership PRIOR to the Annual Business Meeting and Proxy votes sent in to an appointed Committee. Not that THIS particular way is best, but maybe something similar. I agree that the Membership should have the supreme authority of our Organization. Just becaue most people DON'T choose to exercise their right to vote, shouldn't mean that the Officers or Board wouldn't be bound by a majority vote of the Membership on a given issue.
I am looking forward to seeing you this weekend for the Ohio River Valley Chapter meeting. My wife and I will be attending. Should I bring anything?
