Re: Jill's 10 Cent chip.

Hi Jill,
I have read ALL the posts involving your 10 cent Las Vegas Club chip. For what it is worth here is my opinion.

I am sure your chip is a C&J. The hats even under the "stuff" show all the characteristics of the C&J mold.

I believe the chip was orignally purple but changed in color because of ultra violet light. In my opinion, many of the color variations listed in TCR such as purple, maroon, brown, fushia etc.are or could be the result of a chip changing color or shades from being exposed to light.

I am still looking for a Fremont 50 cent chip listed as maroon - N3027. I believe ALL of this type are brown - N8400 that have changed color for one reason or another.

I have looked at many, many dealer binders, collectors binders, etc. In addition I have talked with most of the deep pocket 50 cent collectors - None of them has N3027. They may think they do. However, let them go outsdie in the sunlight and look again. The chip will be brown grin.

I hope this helps. Best, Jim
