Actually Allen your post suggests to me that you are the one who doesn't read others posts or take time to read them. It is an ignorant statement to suggest that there is not a legitimate issue here to which reasonable people may disagree on the approach to take.

I have always believed that people on both sides of this issue honestly have the best interest of the CCGTCC in mind. Both sides have advantages and disadvantages and we have to look to the future and predict which which system is best in the long run. In that prediction reasonable minds may differ.

The main problem is that the Chapter system was not well thought out when it began. It appears that a Chapter was recognized before any Rules even existed defining what a Chapter was. Is it any wonder why the most vocal opponenents to putting in Rules that the Chapter has to follow are members of the Chapter which was formed prior to the existence of any Rules.

Prior to any Chapter being formed there should have been a Constitutional Amendment (this is so profoundly organizational in nature that it should require the approval of the members although certain aspects would be best governed through the bylaws).

The Amendment should have stated basic requirements for the Chapter including a requirment that members of the Chapter be members of the CCGTCC.

ByLaws should have been created both to provide oversight over the Chapter and to put in place a system by which the Chapters could obtain assistance (financial and otherwise) from the CCGTCC.

Only after a system was in place should any Chapter have been recognized.

However that was not done and thus we find ourselves with this problem. I clearly recognize that the CCC is in a different position then the other Chapters because of their history. What I do not understand is why you belive that the entire Chapter membership problem should be tailored around the CCC's unique position.
