For those of you wishing for a connection to someone who will offer you new chips from the Northern Nevada area at a fair and reasonable price, may I suggest my friend and fellow chipper, Al Golovin at Alisez@aol.com.

You may not recognize his name as he feels he is not computer savvy enough to post on Greg's board. Hopefully, with a little prodding from some of his other friends, George Conrad, Chuck Smorse, Ron Leis and from other members of this board, we can convince him to take a stab at posting messages so he can get to enjoy the everyday goings-on the rest of us are enjoying.

In any case, this is the situation as it stands at present.

Al is offering the new chips in the Reno/Tahoe area for the following preliminary prices:

$1.00---------------$2.00
$2.50---------------$4.00
$5.00---------------$7.00
$25.00--------------$30.00

Shipping charges are extra. $1.00 for 1 up to 10 chips (which you can see it close to actual cost.)

If there is a low limit issue and he finds that under some circumstances he cannot get enough chips to supple all his potential customers, than to be fair, he will draw names out of a hat (or whatever) and that's who gets them. He will NOT charge more or go on E-bay with them in order to line his own pockets at your expense.

As you can readily see, Al is doing this for the love of the hobby--to be able to supply all that may be interested with chips from the area without charging exorbitant prices.

Al is retired, one of the nicest gentleman you would ever like to meet, and would just like to contribute his services. Although I have traded with him for a long time, I first met him at the convention.

Al knows people at the cage at Circus Circus, Harrah's, Legacy and some of the other casinos (but not all as yet.)

Al will be away for a couple of weeks, but is going to the Silver Legacy tonight to pick up a bunch of chips and will be in touch with the people he knows to get the chips at Harrah's and Circus Circus wheneven they may get issued. It is for this reason that I am posting this notice instead of him.
If you would like him to get you any chips, just e-mail me and I will relay the message to him. Either he or I will confirm the order. When Al gets back from his short trip then everything will go directly to him--including complaints <g>

This is a new venture for Al and certainly new for me as an advisor. <G> There might be some glitches at first, but I believe the prices offered will compensate for his learning experience.
