Re: A Good START YES BUT!!!!!!!

Jim,

I have to agree that LE's make poor candidates for slabbing. The point I was trying to make was since these chips disappear from circulation, obviously they are being purchased. This should give us some indication that this hobby is relatively large outside of club membership.
As a result we have a vast amount of people that need to be reached with this information.
While you say that if we lead others will follow, again I agree. The only problem is that if they are not aware of the situation then they are not in a position to act. The question is how to reach them?

I'm glad that you have a strong constitution and perhaps are among the few that will resist temptation at all costs when it comes to purchasing slabbed chips.

There have been several posts regarding a specific seller on E-bay and a mini campaign alerting other members not to purchase his wares as result of his reputation. You might notice that virtually everyone of his auctions ends with a sale. Some to club members others not. I'm certainly hoping that this is not an indication of how slabbing will be addressed also.

As I stated above in order for a self imposed ban on slabbing to have any effect it will take more than a strong constitution of the entire membership of CC>CC
