Re: Better picture of chip; it's not plain mold

It was late; I should have put it better. I had said in the above post, "inlay is not flush with the clay." What I meant to convey (and it is seen in the picture) is that very near where the inlay ends there is a recessed circle, a depressed circle, surrounding the inlay. So, in a technical sense the mold is not flat/plain, which is a requirement for a Crest and Seal chip. Yet, it is an interesting chip and 99.9% a Crest and Seal chip. If someone called it a Crest and Seal chip (and I guess I wouldn't), it wouldn't bother me, and collectors would get the idea of what the chip looked like.

As I said, I tend to NOT call it a C&S chip. But, as I said above, if you did call it a C&S chip, collectors would get a good idea of what it looked like and would recognize it in chip guides. And, interestingly, if you gave it a more proper/correct/technical name (like depressed-ring or large-and-small-circles mold) you would confuse 99.9% of collectors, even advanced ones.
