Omissions in home sales ...

... are covered by specific laws here in California, too. But, they create an exception to the normal rules which applies only in real estate transactions. There are some other kinds of sales which have similar disclosure requirements (autos, for example).

Such statutory requirements are the exceptions to the general rule which I stated in my previous post. I'm unaware of any such disclosure requirement applicable to chip sales! <g>

Thanks for the clarification, though, Peter. I should have made that point in my original post. There are, of course, exceptions to almost all legal rules. And, with our various levels of government attempting to regulate every damn thing in our lives, there will be more and more of them as time goes on.
