While I did not mean to start another battle I think you need to read what my intent was when I posted the original note. I did not say that online people would have any preferrence or that you could not sign up at the convention. My only purpose was to make it EASIER for anyone interested in attending to sign up early. Why should show dealers or attendees miss part of the show to sign up for the tournament? What is wrong with taking names of those interested and, if there are more interested than seats available, have a random drawing to see who gets a seat. The drawing could be done a day before the tournament or when ever is convenient. I was just trying to make a suggestion to those involved in setting up the rules.
